Stavros commenced as the CTO's Chief Executive Officer on August 10th, 2015. He brings an enthusiasm and energy to his role working with the CTO team and members. Stavros has a strong vision and passion for the Community Transport sector in NSW, and works tirelessly to achieve the best outcomes for the CTO members and the sector. Stavros has held Executive positions in the community sector as well as in a variety of commercial arenas. Throughout his career Stavros has honed his commercial project & change management skills in the areas of Education, Employment & Training, Business Mentoring and the Community Care sector. Stavros has impressive leadership abilities, communication skills and entrepreneurial focus. He would like to acknowledge previous management’s effort and contributions to date.
Kate Toohey – Sector Development Manager

Kate is the Sector Development Manager (SDM) for the CTO and commenced in May 2015. She is the first person to undertake this role, reporting to the Executive Officer at CTO and funded by Transport for NSW (TfNSW). The role is designed to support the development of the community transport sector during this period of reform and transition. This includes facilitating communication between the sector and TfNSW and assisting with the professional development and growth of community transport services.
Kate has worked in community development for local government; case management in the youth work, disabilities and mental health sectors; and has privately coordinated and run music and cultural festivals and events. Her work in the community and human services sector spans 15 years, two states and variety of roles across NGO and Local Government organisations. She holds an Honours Degree in Psychology, Bachelors of Social Science (Psychology and Practicum Counselling), a Diploma of Community Services (Youth Work), and a number of professional development courses and training in related fields. Kate has a passion for consultative practice and community engagement, and holds strong social justice values. Kate undertakes her work from a strengths perspective whereby the focus is on the strengths of an organisation or person and building their capacity, and enjoys working in collaborative partnerships.
