Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Community Aged/Disabled Transport Service Inc (HKCT)

HKCT’s Mission is to meet the transport needs of residents who are aged and or disabled and their Carers.

The service is funded by the Commonwealth and State Governments and Supported by Hornsby Shire and Ku-ring-gai Councils. We are a community support program for:

• Frail Aged People
• Younger People with Disabilities
• The Carers of Both

The Opportunity
Due to the retirement of our current respected and long serving Manager, the Board of HKCT are seeking to appoint a Manager to lead our service. We seek applicants who seek a career opportunity in the not-for-profit sector keen to improve access and address social isolation for frail aged and disabled people who are transport disadvantaged.

The position reports to our Board and supervises a team of staff and volunteers.

We are seeking an applicant with a commitment to client service and sound and ethical governance, experience managing staff and volunteers, managing financial and administrative functions and meeting legislative and contractual requirements. A background working with community services or community based organisations is desirable as is an understanding of community transport logistics.
