Annual Community Transport Industry Awards
Annual CTO Awards provide the opportunity to reflect upon and uplift the achievements from across our sector. Presented at the CTO Conference Gala Dinner, the awards celebrate those who are delivering impact, innovation, commitment, and excellence to the industry and the communities we service.
There are four award categories open for nomination:
Community Transport Service of the Year Award
This award recognises a Community Transport service that is achieving excellence in client service delivery, actively participating in their community to address unmet need, and developing innovative solutions in response to the changing sector landscape.
This year, the award will be split into two categories:
1. Large Provider of the Year (Membership category 5 & 6 )
2. Small Provider of the Year (Membership category 1 – 4)
These Awards will be determined by your organisation’s CTO Membership Category.
Volunteer of the Year Award
This award recognises a volunteer who shows commitment and reliability to their role, care and compassion to clients, or innovation in their work.
The David Cooley Employee of the Year Award
This award is recognises an employee who has demonstrated significant achievement within their organisation and we are honoured to dedicate this award to the memory of David Cooley who held the role of Operations Coordinator at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Community Transport until his unexpected passing in May 2024.
David’s death was a profound loss not only to his family, friends, coworkers, and clients but to the entire Community Transport sector. His personal qualities and approach to his work exemplified what it means to be a truly outstanding employee. David embodied all the values represented by our Employee of the Year award and the Community Transport Organisation is dedicating this award in his memory to honor his contributions to our sector and to ensure his legacy continues to inspire others.
Applicants are encouraged to apply with David’s example as your encouragement:
- Your positive and solution-orientated approach to all matters; even the mundane.
- Personal pride in being responsible for a pursuit of excellence in every task.
- Supporting a team to individually grow and collectively deliver results using the organisation’s values.
- Relating the organisation’s vision into everyday practices, processes and performance.
- Believing in the value of each of us, and the honour we have in assisting our clients.
