COMMUNITY TRANSPORT CONFERENCE AWARDS 2019

The Awards Ceremony recognises excellence and showcases best practice amongst community transport providers throughout the State. It offers the opportunity to celebrate, recognise and reward outstanding organisations, volunteers and staff.

Community Transport Service of the Year Award

This award is to recognise a service that is proactively instituting change across their organisation, actively participating in their region, contributing to the CT sector, engaging in local partnerships, is undertaking innovation, is achieving excellent in client service delivery. Note services may be achieving some or all of the stated criteria.

To receive this award, the organisation must be a current CTO member. Organisations may self-nominate.

Selection Criteria

  • All criteria must be addressed
  • 150-word statement about the organisation (profile) that is being nominated.
  • Statement of no more than 300 words for each criteria listed above demonstrating how that specific criteria has been met by the organisation (maximum 1200 words).
ENTER THIS AWARD

Achievement – the applicant has been recognised for an innovative program or project, or other recognised achievement that has had significant outcomes to service delivery for their service and clients within their community.

Quality – the applicant’s achievements have demonstrated that the Community Transport Organisation has worked together as a whole team resulting in high quality services that go above and beyond expectations.

Leadership – the applicant demonstrates leadership within the Community Transport sector and their community that they service, demonstrating leadership that is consistently of a high standard with their daily operations.

Commitment – the applicant demonstrates a commitment through significant participation and contribution to Community Transport.


You will need to provide two (2) types of evidence to support this nomination.

Volunteer of the Year

This award is to recognise a specific Volunteer who has demonstrated excellence in servicing their clients through their contribution, reliability, passion, care and commitment in their volunteering role in their community.

To receive this award the volunteer must be registered as a volunteer for an organisation that is a current CTO member

  • Statement of no more than 300 words for each criteria listed above demonstrating how that specific criteria has been met by the Volunteer (maximum 900 words)
ENTER THIS AWARD

Dependability – The volunteer has been recognised for their dependability and reliability in completing their agreed volunteering duties.

Service Delivery – The volunteer delivers high quality services to their allocated client that promotes a high level of care, understanding and empathy in meeting client’s needs.

Commitment – The volunteer demonstrates achievement resulting in positive outcomes for their community though significant participation and; contribution while undertaking their volunteering role.

Employee of the Year

This award is designed to recognise a specific Employee who has demonstrated a significant achievement within their organisation. The Employee delivers excellence in servicing clients as well as leadership qualities resulting in positive outcomes and achieving organisational goals. The employee displays a constant high level of professional behaviour in all aspects of work. They demonstrate a “can do attitude”.

To receive this award the Employee must belong to an organisation that is a current CTO member. The Employee must have been in the role for a minimum of 12 months.

  • 300-word general statement about the Community Transport Employee that is being nominated
  • Statement of no more than 300 words for each criteria listed above demonstrating how that specific criteria has been met by the Community Transport Employee (maximum 1200 words)
ENTER THIS AWARD

Achievement – The employee has demonstrated a significant work achievement within their organisation, demonstrating innovation and commitment to meeting organisational goals, while also supporting the organisation’s Mission, Vision and Values.

Excellence – The employee displays excellence in servicing clients and maintains a consistent high standard of customer service, when dealing with clients and /or their carers’, and other key stakeholders.

Leadership – The employee demonstrates a “can do attitude” and demonstrates the ability to motivate others to achieve organisational goals. Communicated effectively with all levels of stakeholders and immediate team members. Promotes a positive image in the workplace environment through leadership qualities.

Professionalism – Maintains compliance requirements resulting in all policies and procedures of the organisation being met. Consistently demonstrates ethical behaviour and constant professional behaviour in all aspects of their work.

Culturally Inclusive Award for Excellence Award

This may include the provision of innovative service delivery and programs, working collaboratively with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to enrich the client experience or providing exceptional service delivery to peoples from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

To receive this award the organisation must be a current CTO member. Organisations may self-nominate.

Achievement: The applicant has shown mutual respect, effective relationships, clear communication and clear understanding about expectations and clear understanding about expectations for people of all cultural backgrounds

Commitment: The applicant has shown commitment to creating a diverse, harmonious community by supporting the needs of clients as they achieve a deeper appreciation of cultures as well as greater cross-cultural understanding.

Respect: The application has shown inclusive practices that have involved respecting and valuing individual cultural differences.

Business Innovation Award

Innovation is about generating ideas and being able to translate them into practice. Whether it is a small improvement for one person or a breakthrough for society, persistently asking “what’s next?” pushes us to strive to support a better quality of life for our communities, and every now and then that drive and determination results in a ‘game-changer’.

Degree of Innovation – the innovativeness of the service delivery, the approach and solution to a challenge, a proposed product, service, process, technology or the implementation, organisation or marketing models underpinning this solution/innovation.

Innovation Delivery – the quality of innovation delivered to the business and client beyond the call of duty; support and level of service.

Potential of Sustainability – the likeliness that ideas/innovations can be sustained and have significant, long-lasting and increasing impact and as their capacity to be inspirational for others.
