What We Do
The CTO cares about people who need transport to carry out daily activities. We advocate for people who are challenged by access to transport, and we support the community transport sector to provide transport to people who find public transport inaccessible.
The CTO partners with members to build a transport sector that is responsive to the local environment, flexible and innovative.
We work to build sector capability through training, networking and mentoring programs, we support innovation, and we embed the principles of inclusive and equitable transport throughout all facets of life.
We envision a transport sector that is aspirational and innovative. A human-centric sector focused on connection and wellbeing.
As the voice of accessible transport, the CTO consults and collaborates with a vast range of stakeholders to challenge the status quo, to ensure our members' voices are heard, and to carve a path toward a vital, inclusive transport sector.
Governance
The Community Transport Organisation is a registered charity with the ACNC and has DGR1 status.
All donations over $2 are fully tax deductible.
OUR BOARD
The CTO Board embraces its obligation to elevate the issues around inclusive and accessible transport. We commit to support each other, to embrace all perspectives and to invest in sector research that supports advocacy from a place of strength and evidence. We will continue to draw upon independent empirical data to support the impact our industry has on community and we will continue to look forward to set a strong and relevant strategic direction for our sector.

ANNUAL REPORTS
RECENT ACHIEVEMENTS
As the community transport sector continues to navigate regulatory, funding and technology reform, our providers, supported by the CTO, have remained engaged, active and united, advocating for funding and regulation pursuant to the needs of our communities and preparing the industry for transition. The CTO has continued to consult with its members and advocate on their behalf to ensure the community transport sector is included in the decision making process and is part of every Government related decision across health, disability, aged care and infrastructure.
Over the past 2 years we have:
